  Abbey Surfacing, a sole trader, was originally set up in 1982 as a one-man operation with first year sales of £70,000.00. Since then we have expanded our labour force, plant and lorry fleet and our operating base. Our turnover now is in excess of £1.5million per year.

  With our fleet of mechanical plant and transport we can undertake most works. Machines that range from 15 tonne capacity tippers, Massey Furguson excavators and Bittelli paving machines to Beauford vibratory rollers and more pedestrian tandem Bomag vibratory roller to name a few.

Whatever your requirement - be it concrete, bituminous macadam and asphalts, concrete and clay brick paving, grass/soil filled concrete cell paving, resin macadam paving, Cotswold gravel or decorative coloured shingles - we can advise and recommend.

With our fleet of mechanical plant and transport we can undertake most works; The two 15 tonne capacity tipper lorries with insulated steel bodies allow us the flexibility for muck shifting or transporting hot bituminous materials.

Our Massey Ferguson MF860 loader/excavator is versatile enough for working in difficult ground conditions yet man enough for oversite and drainage excavations, spreading and levelling stones and soil, loading materials and handling equipment.

For major surfacing works our BB640 Bittelli paving machines can handle up to 300 tonnes of coated macadam per day. Backing this up with our Beauford 120 Vibratory Rollers for heavy-duty compaction.

For minor works our gangs are equipped with pedestrian controlled Beauford Vibratory Rollers and a tandem Bomag vibratory roller. The remainder of our fleet is made up of; 3-tonne capacity mini-excavator for those inaccessible locations; Skid-steer loader with cold planer, brush and 4-in-1 bucket loader; 3-tonne capacity dumper; Heavy duty breakers.
